I've taken the liberty to browse through the archives of that forum. While it seems that no one has bothered to investigate the mechanisms behind this phenomenon in which dreams are recorded, there is indeed a pattern here. One kind follows the moon, but independent of that are monthly occurrences. Towards the beginning of the month there is an influx of new arrivals, most of them understandably confused and disoriented, and most of them asking the same general questions. I'm rather surprised that there is no standardized greeting community here. Additionally, active use of the dreamnet significantly increased during the summer months.
At the moment these are simply sweeping generalizations, but they are trends. All there is to do now is find out the 'why's behind them. While others have noted some of these trends before, I still have yet to speak with someone who as looked further into them.
While I was here during the summer months, I couldn't tell you what happened during there. I was indisposed during that time [and will keep bringing it up as long as he can get away with it]. However, that does seem interesting. And the same general questions would be, where am I, what happened, where are my friends, and the like? So the same things over and over again.
There has to be someone besides you. Curiosity may have killed the cat but it's still popular.
It seems that for the most part whether people one knows or not may be found through the contacts list on this dreamberry. [ That's how she found him and Derek and Angie, after all. ] It does no harm to look through the device given first before posting to the network, but it seems others tend to overlook that much.
Collaboration is key, so I must ask: do you have any interest at all looking into this matter?
It's an interesting thing. Has everything you'd ever need in this place except for food... and you could even order that through it. Moment I felt good enough to, I got some of the features down.

What all do you know? If you're asking around for more, you must have some clue.
